I started studying interethnic families in 2014, during my Master’s degree in Sociology. I have been interested in this topic for a long time, because I come from a family of this type: my mother is Hungarian and my father is Nigerian.
I first started to study African-Hungarian interethnic families in terms of relationship formation, relationship stability and satisfaction. My research extended to the situation and identity of children from African-Hungarian families in Hungary. During my PhD studies, I also delved into the topic of Roma-Non-Roma interethnic relationships, where the focus of my research was more on the relationship between interethnic relationships and integration.
