Mental Health

Mental health is a critical aspect of overall health and well-being. Taking care of one’s mental health is just as important as taking care of one’s physical health, and it is important to reach out for help when needed. Preserving mental health is crucial for leading a fulfilling and happy life. Good mental health helps individuals to feel positive about themselves, handle life’s challenges, and form healthy relationships.

I started studying mental health at the beginning of my university studies. During my basic training as a nurse, I studied patients’ anxiety around surgery and nurses’ reactions and perceptions to it. During my Master’s degree in Sociology, I focused on women’s experiences and feelings around childbirth within the topic of mental health. I became interested in the topic of addiction through my work at the National Drug Focal Point.
